Anyone know what the scoop is called that goes just above the windshield on the roof of a Countryman? Looking to buy one but can't seem to find it online.

 

Do you mean a rear-facing deflector in front of the sunroof?

 

No, what I'm talking about looks identical to the same scoop that goes on the hood but this scoop goes in the middle of the roof just above the windshield. Like this one in the picture.

The functional ones actually allow air into the cockpit. Do you find yourself in many rally situations?

Looks like an S but I'm having trouble locating vendor. I just did a google search on Mini Countryman body kit and got a bunch of sites.

 

If you figure who that particular vendor is, post it up...that hood is pretty sweet.

The ProDrive Countryman rally cars have a scoop up there, but it's for air for the engine, if I remember correctly.

i really would have thought by now there'd be a hood scoop on the CMs model.

 

Technically there is, although it's part of the front bumper and not on the bonnet, like with the other S models. Someone around here (or on the MINI Countryman Owners Lounge on Facebook) actually modified the bonnet of his Countryman to add the scoop and it looked amazing.

 

If there was a hood scoop, it might actually add some efficacy to the only "cold air" intakes available for our cars.
