Here's another article with a ton of pictures.

What does this mean for the Paceman?

I really like that green. Don't really like the new wheels though. The grille change is ok.

I'm surprised how little they changed, not that I thought much needed to be changed on the front/rear bumpers. I guess I'm just used to the facelifts on the R50/R53/R56 which were more substantial.

Nice catch AWHK, thanks for posting it!

I too really like the green color. It's the only body color I have seen that actually looks good with a black roof, IMO.

The black wheels absolutely have to go as does the automatic tranny

I agree very subtle changes. Don't mess too much with a really good thing I suppose...

Well you're entitled to your opinion , I thought most of it's fine a few little tweaks LED lights ,some interior stuff that could be available as a Mod down the road, didn't like the wheels or the undercarriage parts at least in the pictures I saw they have an FJ Cruiser vibe which seems out of place on a MINI IMO

Anyone have any info on that iPad mount in the pics are the bottom of that link?

Noticed there was no mention of a clean iPhone 5/5s integration.

I like that all of the models will get the anthracite gauge faces like the JCWs have, but the JCWs will have JCW logos on them. Also, rumor had it that they were going to be doing away with the central speedo during this refresh, like with the new F56. No mention of that in the article either.

Nevermind....question answered.

"Paceman will also receive all the R60 Countryman updates (sans the All4 appearance package – the silver accents) for the 2015 model year."

The cosmetic changes don't make much of a difference to me. Prefer the old wheels too. However, I wonder if the little extra oomph in the S (10hp) will make much of a difference.
As far as the green goes, well smokey the bear's outfit comes to mind

If you add the factory Foglights the red "S" in the front grill will not be visible....

I like the "S" in the grill but hate the chrome bar gong through it. But just like WMW said, with the driving lights it.will cover the "S" like it does on the JCW models with the lights.

I wish they brought back the Spilt rear seats. That was one thing that really appealed to me about the Countryman.

How'd they get the 10hp? Curious if previous model years will get a similar 10hp bump with a future software upgrade?

I'm not sure. This is what the article said "Engine options carryover but the Countryman S gains an upgraded 1.6-liter turbo that produces 190 bhp (140 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque." Torque is the same.

With turbo engines they can easily do this through changes in the ECU programming. Note that max torque (240) hasn't changed so the extra power most likely comes from extending the torque plateau a bit higher with peak power coming at a higher RPM than before.

I called my mini dealer but got an "I don't know". Have any of you called your dealer to find out? I would assume a software update should be available to match the hp of the 2015 with the same engine and all.

I would also like to know when we can get LED Headlights ,Foglights , DRL's. If you can get an aftermarket tune it seems reasonable to think Mini has the capability to do it as well

people on facebook countryman lounge are saying mixed things, some are saying there will be a software upgrade to bump up the hp soon some say 2015 has higher numbers because its the european version running higher fuel

I always thought the US version had 181hp and the Euro 184hp , regardless I'd like the hp bump, let's hope we get the chance otherwise it's into the aftermarket

It looks like they have those silver off-road optics on the front back and sides that were initially offered only on the base R60 now... Or just something that looks like them. I wonder if those could be retrofitted on my 2013?

Anyone know if the "S" on the grill is a badge that clips onto the grill or is it permanently attached? I wonder id that could fit on my grill? I kinda like that "S" on there...

Seems to me that if it's just a matter of a software update, then they should be able to do that with a routine service... at least if your car is under warranty... my 2013 is still well under warranty and I have the extended service/mainatainence package. I've had some hesitation/loss of power/stuttering that they could not duplicate and since I switched to my iPhone 5s, my MINI Connected has not been working correctly with my Y Cable and the 30 pin adapter. I've had it in once and they could not duplicate either of the problems so maybe I'll run it back after the upgrades are available through the dealer and get my extra hp.
