How did you wire them? Are they spliced into the headlamps or do they run off a new switch?

This is the kit i bought... notice the bottom part pivots ,, so all you need is a longer bolt, big washer and nut,, and it quick attachs to the grill

I think the mounting plates for Hella 500s work the same way. I'd love to give it a shot. The only issue is that I have a non-S Countryman and the grille bars are quite deep. I'm not sure if it would be possible to do on this type of grille. May just have to spend the $$ for a set of lights to give it a shot.

Interested! But, does the lights already come with the mounts? If not, can you post a link to where I could find them. Thanks a million.

Didn't either of you look at the link the OP posted? The 'mounting hardware' is clearly shown and the OP clearly said that he used 'big washers & bolts' to mount it to his grille. This isn't hard to figure out....

Did you use any type of rubber washer or bushing between the large washers and the grille? I'd be a little afraid of damage from vibration and rubbing (especially since mine is a non-S with the silver grille).

wow, that mikey has a hair stuck somewhere... When something says brackets, you look for actual mounting hardware brackets, not a swivel with a bolt already attached to the lights... Now that new pics were posted of the actual mounting, we can clearly see how it was done and what is needed... Thanks snake for the pics
