My dilemma right now is deciding between the GFB DV+ and the Forge BOV.
Both units work a different way on how it handles what's going on. In the end I just want a stronger DV+ to be able to handle more boost. The GFV DV+ T9353 is coming out soon. How do you N14 owners like it. Or you think I should go with Forge? Thanks.

I bought the Forge DV three months ago and it made a big difference, the Forge unit is faster at responding to changes in pressure than any stock type DV. At least this is my interpretation from driving my MCS before and after installing the Forge DV. I can't speak to the GFB DV because I have no experience with it, but there is a big price difference between the two!

PM ra2fanatic about the GFB DV. He would give a good reply. I have the Alta DV and it works just fine for me. It makes my JCW sound like I've got $15k under the hood and I actually haven't even tuned it yet haha. I actually don't even like Alta's products but I bought their DV because I was sick of the OEM DV fluttering under boost. All I know is that the Forge DV works very well, but the Forge BOV adapter is not a good idea. It's a pain to get a BOV that exhausts into the air to work properly on a R56.

^For $135, it's hard to beat as the best DV for our platform. I can really notice how immediate the throttle responds when you're on and off throttle and it's a solid billet aluminum DV with no crazy cabling like the Forge or plastics like the Alta or WMW versions.

Does the forge one make that flutter noise?

No flutter noise, in fact it's quieter than the stock DV.

I had the forge and it is so smooth in delivery. Had to go back to eom diverted as forge inlet manifold tap is incompatible with AEM air box unless you modify the air box.

May have to fit the gfb one as the oem feels like a switch either off or on compared to the forge.

Forge replaced my old one and the new one was only test fitted before finding out the compatibility issue so now up for sale.

I have an AEM Airbox. Does the forge one get in the way?

The boost tap that fits into the inlet manifold does not clear the AEM airbox like it does on the Oem one. Some Dremel or heat up to disform the air box to make it fit.

Yes as all it does is modify and improve the eom diverted and does not use inlet manifold to work a solenoid like the forge unit.

Forge unit to me is the best item and once fitted will never break due to its construction. GFB just improves the weak part on the original diverter.
