Which bbk kit....OEM (varries by year gen1 vs gen2)? Wildwood...they have many....versions with different rotor options.....and the offset of the rims matter....

 

I was looking at a Gen 2 JCW kit.

The offset on my wheels is 42

 

Dr-19 wheels are ridiculously heavy. Don't do it.

 

I already did it, I have had the wheels for a couple of years now. I'm looking at upgrading to a BBK and hoping I don't need to get new wheels also.

The one scenario I was looking at was possibly taking my car to a dealer that had a JCW and convincing them to put it up on the lift and let me see if one of my wheels will fit over it without damaging theirs. Yeah not likely.

So the reason I asked was, I was hoping somebody out there maybe had already done it or attempted it and could let me (and others) know.
