R60 Sport Suspension
Sport Suspension or Not?
HI,
I just ordered my Countryman S with JCW exterior package and the salesman added the sports suspension by mistake. Its free upgrade for JCW exterior package if you want to. I just saw it when I got home. Should I upgrade to sports suspension or not? I'm just afraid if the ride will be harsh with sports suspension specially the package also comes with 18" wheels. I live in bay area and most roads are decent. No potholes. Should I change it or keep the sport suspension in my order? Thanks.

i have an all4 with sport suspension and sport pkg (18 inch wheels) and my sister has an all4 with standard suspension
i much prefer my car over the standard suspension, much less body roll, much better handling

thanks to all reply. apparently even though my home pc shows i have option not to get sport suspension with jcw exterior package, when the dealer ordered my cm theres no other choice but to get the sport suspension with jcw ext package or cancel the package. hopefully the ride wont be that harsh when my cm gets here.
The 18 inch runflats rode terrible until I upped the tire pressure from the stock 32 psi to 38 psi ... 38 psi is listed in the OM as an alternate pressure for high speeds ... made a huge improvement ... I ended up using 37 psi rear and 42 psi front

OK, I have an 06 MCS with the sport package. I would like to soften up the ride some, I have gone to regular tires no run-flats. This has helped to some degree but here's my question. Can I change out springs, shocks, ect to turn it into a non-sport suspension? If so, what all would I have to replace. I don't track the car and am a little older so I'm just trying to soften up the ride so it won't beat these old bones up! LOL! Thanks for any help and or advise.

Hi all, I have a 2014 JCW Countryman AWD and though it does come standard with the "Sports Suspension" package there is an optional "Sports Tuned Suspension" package that comes with beefier front and rear sway bars and stiffer springs...I didn't realize that and only have the standard sports suspension package. Question: Does anyone know if there is a better rear sway bar and adjustable rear lower control arm package out there that doesn't totally screw with the suspension geometry (and that Mini won't say will void the warranty)? The back-end of my car really dances around at times and it has taken the thrill out of hard-cornering and bumpy roads! And, has anyone gone through a Mini dealer to have these kinds of upgraded suspension components installed and if so, how did it go and was it big $$$? Thanks!!!
