MINI's draw lots of attention...In Italy
JCW's draw lots of attention...In Italy
I haven't experienced this kind of attention in my MINI since I had my 02 MCS back when MINI's were still new and rare.
One of the highlights of bringing my 11JCW when I got stationed here is all the attention my MINI gets. My land lady gushes every time she comes over. I was getting gas today and one of the patrons of the station was just walking around my car and admiring much like one would at a car dealership. I always see to get a lot of long stares from the many bicyclists littering the roads here. I gotta say the attention is something I miss quite a bit more than I realized.
They aren't completely rarified here. I've seen plenty but they seem to be mostly Coopers, Ones, and D's. I've not seen any JCW's except for two others on base. I honestly thing they are gaga for the red roof and mirrors.

A bit confused about this statement in contrast with your title. Do all MINI's get attention in Italy, or yours in particular because it's a red and black JCW?
Yes I could see how that could be a bit confusing. I guess, I would characterize it as an assumption--perhaps a misinformed one. I only have the one MINI, after all, and it happens to be a JCW (Gray/Red).
If only NAM would allow me to edit the post title.

I believe you can edit the post title if you want. Just go to your starting post and click "edit". When the next page appears, click "go advanced". At that point I think you can edit the title.
