How to sell 07 S

OK, the wife is finished with the 07 S. Chili Pepper Red with front stripes. Passenger air bag light is on and has been reset 3 times to no avail. 100K on it, runs strong, doesn't burn oil, use 0W40 Mobil 1, oil changed every 10K. RFTs that will need to be replaced soon, ding in drivers side door below mirror, dings in back wheel surrounds from dog bites. Dings in rims. Where should I try to sell this car, almost out of the NOVA area in Fauquier County, VA. And what should I ask for it? Current VA inspection good for nearly a year.

I looked locally and I see similar cars (without the AB problem) for $13K or so which seems high to me.

9k is more realistic, maybe less because of the airbag issue

I tell you if someone offered me 7k, I'd take it in a hearbeat. I'll try Craigs list. I doubt that Bubby in Flint Hill would give me 1k for it. I need to clean the mud off of it first, the snow really got the mud up this year.

CarMax {or similar} will give the low KBB number in most cases and you can be in and in an hour which if you don't want to wait and entertain others, might work for you.

I recently turned over a sweet 7-S ... tuscan leather, wood grain (including steering wheel and shift ****) BRG and white with sport stripes.

Had a buyer for $12k who played around for over a month - 'got to sell my car first'

So I traded it .... got low KBB - $9.5 ... but I wasn't waiting anymore . . .

btw dealer was most concerned that the car did not have run-flats anymore .... and when it appeared on their web site a few days later (for $12k) it had new runflats on it . . .

Well, the nearest carmax or what ever, I think is in Sterling, about an hour away, it may be worth a try, at least to see what I'm looking at. Might be a lunch date in Herndon with the lady.

We sold a Prelude years ago that looked good but there was something wrong with the engine we couldn't figure out. Gave it to WETA and got a 5K deduction, which I think was more than the car was worth, they contracted with an auction place to take it and it was sold at auction, I wish I had their name, I'd call them. We didn't even have to take it anywhere, they came and got it.
