I've searched and cannot come up with what I am looking for. I have my painted aero side skirts and can't for the life of me figure out how they mount. I have a copy of the Official Aero Body Kit instructions that I got from motoringfile.com and have also looked at the MINI2 DIY posts. Both are helpful but they don't give enough detail.

I can't figure how the skirts attach to the mounting brackets; the pictures and instructions I have just dont' show enough detail. I thought I recalled seeing a post with a lot of detailed info and pics on this site but now that I need it, I can't find it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The arches are all snap in clips cept for the front two most with a bolt. The rocker panels/side skirts are more complicated. When you remove your stockers, pastic clip pieces will go flying plus you have to turn and twist to remove what gets stuck to the body. The rear two white clips on each side are hardest- a real pain, but take your time and squeeze the clip tip from the rear (reaching under the car to the back side) and push it through the front. Then there are the row of clips up top where the new sides use adhesive. Take your time.

Make sure you install the aero grilles in the side skirts first before applythem to the car. For the side skirts you don't have to have the car jacked up, just for the arches to get the wheel and wheel well shields out. Again, take your time. I did mine in pieces while waiting on extra clips to arrive so my MINI was calico for a few days. When you're done you'll love it!

Interesting info but not really what I am after. I cannot figure how the aero skirts attach to the mounting brackets that come with them. I already know how to get the stock skirts off the car, just can't get the new ones on. It should be simple but apparently it's not. The drawings that are part of the official instructions are not clear enough to help.

Everything is all set. I decided to just rip off the old skirts and see if I could make sense of things after that. A quick test fit told me what I needed and it was pretty easy after that.

Wow, Absolutely love the LY/LY combo. My favorite color scheme. The aero package looks great too.

Those are standard metal ramps with low profile adapters, I believe made by Rhino. As I remember the adapters were about $20, well worth it.
