Need advice on ATF fill

I have a 2010 Justa automatic with 30K and removed the transmission inspection plug while on ramps (I know, In the school of experience you get the test before the lesson!) A small, probably about 1/2 cup, of fluid came out over the stand tube and I now am wondering what to do? I have read about the complicated procedure for refilling and would like to avoid it if possible.

I seem to have these options:
1. Assume that the amount lost is not a threat and drive as is.
2. Buy a bottle of fluid and try to top it off.
3. Drain and refill completely.

Any thoughts/experience on this would be appreciated.

1/2 a cup....30k miles. I'd say you're already there, just refill and call it a day :D

It's really not that complicated. Any novice can do it w/o issues

Overflow?

My thought is to warm the engine/transmission up and fill the approximate amount lost with the inspection bolt out. If it is on level ground shouldn't I be able to tell when it is full if it starts overflowing the tube in the pan? It would seem that it would be at the correct level then.

As follow up I managed to put a little over a quart in the car and thought this was the best estimate I have for what drained out. However, upon driving it I found that starting out it made some unusual shifts for the first mile or so and then seemed to settle down. After 200 miles of this still not operating properly when cold I removed the inspection bolt when slightly warm and no fluid came out . So, I added fluid until it overflowed, put the bolt back in, then added a few oz. more. Runs as new now and there are no missed shifts when starting out cold. It was a project and replaced about two quarts but I think it finally fixed.
