'07 S Starts then dies on cold mornings
Just bought a used '07 S (44,000 miles) just as a cold snap hit us here in Kentucky. On very cold mornings (where the temps hit the single digits overnight) when I go to start the car it dies. I start it, I leave it in park, if I don't stay on the gas and keep a close ear while parked it will die. If I watch it, stay on it, it might still die but usually after a couple tries I get it going okay. I then turn it off and go back in the house for twenty minutes then come out and start and go about my day. On very cold afternoons the same thing happens in the afternoon, but no problems once I get going.
I just had the chain tensioner recall thing done (which eliminated the death rattle) and they replaced the thermostat (which was leaking) and another thing (a cracked valve cover I think).
In any case, on very cold days the car still will die shortly after startup but once I get it "warmed up" I have no problems.
Thoughts?
