R56 What did you sell your stock wheels for?
What did you sell your stock wheels for?
I have the black two spoke wheels that come on some of the 2013 mini cooper S's with the factory run flats. They are collecting dust and I want to sell them. What's the value of the OEM wheels and tires? I think I put about 4500 miles on the tires.
This is a very general response, but the short answer is "not as much as you think." It seems to me like brand new takeoffs might get about $150-200 each, with tirewear less.
On a tangent, if you ever might be selling or trading in your car, keep them. When I was looking at used MINI's recently I wouldn't even have considered one without OEM wheels. You would take a big dealer hit too for aftermarket wheels. Just something to consider unless you know you will have the car forever.

Keep them too long....and the value drops a bit...cause the tires become worthless as they age...
About 6 years old, sometimes closer to a max of 10, depending how they are stored...and the ozone in the air starts to attack the rubber....
I have bought oem rims....much of the value is in selling/using the tpms..before they DIE, about 3 years...and in my case using them for snows....even ugly rims are great for snow! OEN are strong...and decent paint...so do fine with salt...

I had the same wheels in silver and sold them with only 1000 miles on em for $550

That was my thoughts on them. I am using the TPS on my new wheels.
