i have one for the oil pressure, but wonder how good it would be for temp as there is no flow of oil, it is a dead end

edit: my other thought is to weld a bung on the oil pan

i have a scan gauge II for now, but i bought 5 prosport 1.75" diameter electric gauges for my final setup. i am on my 3rd gen mount for them

i got oil temp, oil press, water temp, boost and volts

ideally, i would like to measure the oil temp in the pan, but do not want the temp probe sticking straight down out of the drain plug

doesn't seem to be to many good places to pull oil temps from, i would think the tapless method at the galley end where the pressure sender sits wouldn't be accurate maybe i am wrong. waymotorworks what kind of success have you had using this point for oil temp.

the filter cap does seems to be the easy target point. i dont care for the drain plug option, i think if i go for the pan i will weld a bung specifically for the sender.

i was thinking to directly tap into the oil filter housing itself or possibly a sandwich plate between the filter housing and the heat exchanger.
