So I know it's cold as all get out here in co, and I drove to work today no problem, r56 is way to much fun. But this afternoon when I went to leave she would crank but not start, tried jumping her even with AAA help with no results. All lights turn on interior and exterior with no warning lights coming up on the dash. Any ideas for what I'm in for when she arrives at my local shop?

 

Sounds like the HPFP. If so, yours should be covered by warranty for 10 years/120,000 miles.

 

Sure sounds like the HPFP to me and since it failed the last time you shut off the engine you wouldn't expect to get any codes or cells since it's not running. I could be wrong but would bet it is the HPFP because it's the only thing that makes any sense since you're not getting any codes/cells, if it were running at the time of failure then you would get a cell!

Mini did extend the warranty for 10 years/120,000 miles like jcauseyfd stated. Funny thing is I believe my HPFP is going slowly, have had recurring misfire/misfires periodically and it's starting to run lean and ping at high rpm like there's not enough gas.
