R50/53 Clutch issues.
Clutch issues.
I have a 2002 Cooper S with a stage 2 clutch and aluminum flywheel. Ever since I got the clutch and flywheel installed I've had a rattle or chatter when I lift off at a higher rpm. I went back to the place that installed it and they said it was the throw out bearing making the noise. This was back in April or May. I haven't driven the car since August, but I don't remember the clutch pulling almost all of the way out before the car starts moving. Also, when it's relatively cold outside, if I start the car up and it's in gear it lunges forward. It seems to pull and shift fine, but ever since my last clutch went out on me I've been paranoid about it happening again. Can anybody give me some input for what they think could be going on? I would greatly appreciate it.
