There's no electronics in that mirror right?

why not have the body shop mount a generic one onto your mini?

Hmm, I don't see the appeal. But to each his own.

Ditto that, pebble. Looks like the mirror on my 82 Mazda GLC.

Critique Corner

Pros

Race not Rice; CF; can't be any less impractical than stock mirrors.

Cons

Aestheticly not pleasing; doesn't go with the shape of the MINI; too purposeful not non-conventional.

not non-conventional.

Let's see...2 negatives equal a positive, therefore he must be saying it looks conventional!

>>Old flame is a.... Conquest? Or was is called Tsunami..... Conquest TSI maybe? Heck, I can't remember now. Still the fastest car I've ever owned. Timed at the strip 0-100 10.5 sec., 1/4 mi 13.3 sec

If I could locate those old Ferrari styled mirrors, they would also look **** and fit the Mini better.

That looks nothing like the CRX's I'm familiar with, but still very nice! I need to look up the Conquest....

Mine has (correction, had) the Mugen light body kit on which is why it looks different. Also, aero skirts and hood wind splits further disquises it.

10.5 is a nice time, did it have full interior or stripped it down?

OH nice crx with the mugen kit circa '91. Damn way before rice, I think lowriders owned the streets back then. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the crx the lightest body Honda ever had.

MSFIT, your CRX looks sweet. Love the flares, you gotta post some more pics of the engine, interior and front/rear shots. What happened to it? Do you still have it?

Wow...thanks for the compliments. I'm in the Detroit area and the only thing running against me then were the Dream Cruise hot rods which we routinely embarrased with the exception of a few. Parts were hard to come by and there were maybe three wheels to choose from for the CRX.

Yah...I still miss her. Sold her to some young kid in Jersey over the internet nearly 10 years ago. It had sucumbed to a mysterious electrical gremlin that no one could figure out and I had too much else to attend to and no space to store her. The last I heard, the guy was puttin in another 20k into her and updating all the works to 1990s tech. I wish I still had his number Would've liked to buy her back

The interior was partially stripped out. I'll scan some more images in and post them if you like. These photos were takien in the Ford Design Dome. It was on a turn table so I have round the clock photos from every angle. The color was the prototype for the upcoming BASF flip-flop stealth gray. It ran from purple to blue to green...whew.
