BOV/Diverter Ideas?

That 'whoosh' sound would get annoying after a while if it were loud enough, so I'm curious of what way to go here. I don't want that hot air recirculating back in again and again if I don't have to. I'm throwing an intercooler on it here in the next week or two so that'll help a good bit. Intake I don't see as a wise spending of money. As far as the BOV/Diverter goes, I've heard of two ideas in great review. One being the Way replacement of the current diverter, or this guy http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Cooper-S-Turbo-07-12-Blow-Off-Valve-Adapter-/181062537077?_trksid=p2054897.l4275
With those two in mind, I ran into a deal where I could get a HKS SSQV BOV for 70 bucks from a friend of a friend.

I'm not looking for power, I'm looking for only a little increase in sound, but essentially having that hot air expelled rather than recirculated.

I'm new to the whole turbo life of things, so please forgive me for any amateur mistakes.

Thanks in advance for any advice/ideas,

Justin

I don't know what year you are, but a lot of people with N14s report trouble with vent to atmosphere valves. Try the search function. Here's one link:

The same may (or may not be) true for the N18. I'd defer to someone with experience.

I'm in a 07 S. Yeah I'm gonna stay away from a BOV, just trying to figure out the diverter valve replacement. Way makes one with great reviews, 64 bucks. Then I was referred by a couple others to get the one in that ebay link above for 50 bucks. I'm sure there's other options than those two, though.
