What would you like changed in Paceman

Now that many of us have had the Paceman for a while. What is the single thing you would like to see changed?

For me, it would be having the rear seats actually fold flat.

Yeah, FLAT folding rear seats, and a bit more go-go in the giddy-up department.

Maybe have the rest state slide back and forward like the Countryman?

Do you mean have the seat go back to it's original spot after sliding it forward? It does do that. Just curious as to what you mean.

Ahhh, I was only lost because I didn't know the CM did that. So the rear seats could use many improvements

rear seats that fold completely flat would be nice, a little bit more torque would also be good, I have the JCW but unless you wind it up it's not that quick. I'd also like to see the Nav system automatically change to night mode for the map when it's dusk, and the traffic display on the Nav system is a complete mess, I still don't understand what it's showing me, sometimes it's got yellow lines, sometimes there are arrows as well, just weird.

Mostly however it does exactly what I want, 4 adults fit in it for short trips no problem, and no complaining (in fact a lot, of I don't believe how big it is inside), I can move my bikes around, it's fun to drive.

More power.

Nav going to night mode auto.

Just a better, faster, nav system would be so much better. Make it smoother.

No regrets buying the Paceman because it’s fun to drive and I wanted the extra space, but with the same power to weight ratio as the MCS it would graduate from fun to a blast to drive.

Based on the ratio’s the Paceman S needs 208 HP to performance like a MCS and the JCW AWD needs 235 HP, Mini really needs an affordable performance upgrade kit for the S and lets face it, it’s all ECU programing to hit the 208 HP mark.

I need to find out if I can get a handle installed instead of the drivers-side visor that in its place above the door. I'm short so it doesn't work.

I read somewhere (don't remember where) that the side visor and handle do use the same mounting points and are pretty easily swappable.

I really miss the Leder Lounge Carbon Black Seats.
You can buy them only in the Paceman JCW.

I'd like a coolant temperature gauge.

Couldn't you use this: http://burgertuning.com/Mini_Cooper_...nce_tuner.html

Has anyone tried this yet on the Paceman S? Supposedly 20 extra HP? would put the Paceman S right at around 200HP... might solve the HP problem.

I have ... and it sure is close to closing that power-to-weight ratio gap.

They are. Easy swap. You can get the part from your dealer or ECS Tuning.

I've only had the car not even a week now and the only thing I can think of is possibly having a deeper false floor.... and no pre-filtered front speaker lines...

and maybe a center dash gloss finish... like in the MCS (the part that's between the dash and the glove compartment... that center strip would be great if it was gloss). Dunno if that makes any sense.

Agree!!! forgot that one... the sales rep told me that it doesn't do that due to the sloping back end causing excessive wind noise... so they decided to not do that... wondering if that is true or not...

Having the mini connected work the Nav system by blue tooth from my phone. While on that subject, being able to feed the Nav system Gooble Maps from the Iphone without having to preload it on my office, home or laptop computer and "send to car".

That or giving the car an email address to send a link to. Am I dreaming? Don't Fords do this on their product line?

You can't go to to googlemaps on your Iphone and use send to car? I don't surf much on my phone, but surprised you can't do that.

I have to do it from my pc at home only because that's the only time my car has access to the internet. Place I work for blocks the internet connection to my itouch even though I can pair my phone with it. :(

JB+ is the best thing I ever bought for a car. The Paceman is so much better from a dead stop and also gives instant power in traffic both city and highway.
