Thoughts on price for this 07 mini cooper s

Hi all - looking to pick up another mini cooper s for my significant other and you guys were so much help with my last mini purchase I figured I'd ask for your thoughts again!

I found an 07 cooper S with 54k miles. 1 owner, immaculate, no accidents. 6-speed, xenons, new rubber, cold weather and sports package, no pano roof, factory roof rack, leatherette seats, grey on black with racing stripes front and rear. He has literally every single receipt and service record for it from new and is willing to take $11.5k for it. Good deal? Great deal? Or just tepid deal?

Seems like as I've been watching the market that this is a really good deal considering the ownership history and how incredibly clean the car is, but wanted to get your thoughts. Thanks!

According to KBB, 11.5 for a PERFECT 2007 MCS is just about right. not a steal, but a fair price. But if the car has all the right options you like (color, xenons, ect) I would jump on it. Buying the same car from a dealer would be about 2k more.

Yeah, I think if I'd really wheeled and dealed I might have been able to get it down closer to $11k but I think I would be hard pressed to find a better example at this price around Seattle.

I'd buy it for that. Optioned better than my 07 that I bought 10 months ago for $12.5k (at a MINI dealer though).

I just double checked on the timing chain and tensioner and apparently it has been checked this year, and annual checks are free of charge. He sent me the letter from mini NA stating the repair if it is found to be faulty would be covered even if the car was sold to me. This is sounding better and better

Good point, it needs a detail, the motor was replaced with a new motor or block but they do not replace everything in the engine compartment but thanks for pointing it out

Grind him down if you gain. Never pay full asking price!

The only thing I would be leery about is it is the first year of the 2nd generation MINI. The good news is it has a new engine that should have updated parts on it that are more reliable than the first run.

He'd originally asked for $12.5k and he won't budge past $11.5k...

look carefully at the pictures and you'll see the asking price of $12,700

51,000 and change

brg and white, with Tuscan leather and wood grain interior. brand new runflats. Premium pak (auto a/c, sunroof), white turn signals, new EBC pads.

I bet you could pick this up for your price.

I traded it in last week. I'm in a '14 Focus ST3 now . . .
