New 2011 owner and some questions

Hi just bought a 2011 Hot Chocolate Brown S 6spd in my, I think it looks like poop brown but that's just me. Anyway I bought it to commute since my Ducati doesn't like water on it. it has 111k miles on it. I figure it has to be mostly highway miles. I bought it from a Mercedes dealer. Ive read a few dozen pages and people say look out for the dipstick, timing chain and pcv valve. Im from the land of muscle cars with gear drives and carbs. What is wrong with the dipstick? How long do the chains last and what are some problems associated with the pcv? So far Ive only added about 50 miles to the car and it puts a big smile and I could see a poop stain with the way it grabs, its almost as good going around corners as my 848.

Thanks

I believe you have the N18 engine in yours so you should not have to worry about the timming chain issue. The issue with the pcv is that it was causing carbon build up in the intake valves. I think that was resolved with the N18 engine too but i could be wrong. i think people dont like the dipstick because it can be hard to read. i have a 07 MCS and i still have the original dipstick. it's not that big a deal IMO.

Thanks for the info, today while commuting to work. I was able to pair my phone via blue tooth. While in Bluetooth I wasn't able to play Pandora over the speakers or via the usb. The phone played but it wouldn't go over the speakers. This is a Samsung s4 galaxy.

TIA

Welcome.

111K on a 2011? Man, that's some serious miles in a short time... I just turned 40K on my 2010 that I've owned for 4 years next week.

Nope, not gonna get streaming via Bluetooth. Doesn't matter what phone you have. Your going to have to use the aux in and kill what little sound quality you get from Pandora...

It handles better than your Duc, it won't highside you...lol (I've got an Aprilia...)
