Will 215/55 R17 fit?

Will these fit on factory 17" wheels with no rubbing? I do have the factory sport suspension.

I assume you want this to fit on your 2006 MCS.

No it would not fit and very likely rub.

Stock tire size is 205/45-17. The second number is the sidewall profile, it is 45% of the 205mm width. Stock tire diameter is about 24.3"

215/55-17 can fit on a stock 17" wheel but is too tall at 26.3" tire diameter or 2" taller than OEM. Using stock suspension there is no room for the tire and any travel.

Thanks minihune. I'll stick with stock size.

It will barely fit and is not recommended, some risk for rubbing since it is taller and wider than OEM at 25.5" tire diameter vs 24.3" OEM. At $154 each it is not the best value.

Not sure why you would choose that size since in the WS70, you can also choose:

215/45-17 $144 each, 24.7" tire diameter
205/50-17 $137 each, 25.1" tire diameter

In general you want a winter tire that is more narrow to cut through deep snow, and not much taller than OEM for more clearance.

I just thought they might work as I found them for a real cheap price used with less than one season on them. I'll just stick with a 205/45/17 for winter.
