Reseting tcu like a whole new tune

I just rest my tcu and it's literally like driving a whole new car. Granted my car was driven for 7 years by a old grandma but still. But anyway just wanted to say it is possible

TCU?....Traction control unit?...you mean ECU?

how did you reset it?...just unplug the battery for 10-15 mins?

any mods to the car?

what kind of improvements did you see? better engine response? more power?

Well if you want to get technical it's the ecu, I meant the tranmkssion control unit. It controls the adaptive transmission. I wasn't able to get past certain mph, drove it hard in step tropic for a while it's now adapts. Takes 5 mins no unplugging

1: turn car on (not starting)
2: step on gas for 5 secs then turn of car and release pedal.

3: then wait 2 mins do not remove key

I have nm pipes forge diverter valve no tunes. But on automatic: it now shifts at 5-6k rpms when on the gas.

I'm seeing faster acceleration boost holds better. Most likely no torque gains technically. Sports mode is really like a new car

Yes it makes a big difference depending on how the car was driven.

I did this on my E90 335i after doing the Alpina TCU flash, both combined transformed it at all levels. Now if only Alpina got their hands on a MINI...

I was looking for this! Just a question.

When 'turn car on', do you mean to put the key in and push start button once or twice without starting the engine?
