Bill Jacobs MINI in Naperville, IL

Anyone from here?

I never liked this dealership. They're nothing but *******s and are there just to make money, but this elevates it to another level...

If you look closely, the car has the European Recaro's in it. Makes me believe it was someone's prized possession that got vandalized. You'd assume that their car park would be better secured. I will never service my car there.

My local dealer has a fence with keys and camera's where cars that aren't kept inside stay after hours. That **** right there should NOT happen and whoever owns that car should be getting taken care of by the dealership. SHOULD. But if they're as shady as you say, who's to say it wasn't some grease monkey that works there that knew what the car was and when he could get in and steal ****.

They've got nothing. If you Yelp their reviews, you will notice how poor they are. I even applied for a job there over the summer and got turned down (I'm a huge MINI fan with lots of experience). Instead, they hired an old guy who couldn't distinguish between models, let alone anything else

I got my mini from Patrick Mini. They treated me right in both sales and service.

Holy Crap!

Well they need to make good on that!

Not sure if you can blame them for that, as long as they make good.

I bought my GP from them, only because they had one for the right price, we were in and out in about an hour.

We deal only with Patrick for service, we drive past 3 dealers on the way there.

Good Luck!

Ouch!

Ouch. Nothing new though, the dealers/storage lots in that vicinity were the source of many "hot" car stereos in the '80's; when I worked at the local mall in college, I was approached nearly every day to buy one. I wouldn't bust their chops over that, crime happens.

That said, we bought a used '07 MC for my daughter (not at Bill Jacobs), and we are loathing ever having to take it to them for service; friends with BMW's generally hate their service dept. Will drive to Patrick if we can!

Agreed. The lot is wide open to crime and the "SERVICE" needs to be re-invented. You would think they would be on top of that with all the $ parked there ! Maybe they are on the way out?

Bill Jacobs MINI

I purchased my Mini from Bill Jacobs and was overall pleased with the experience. I was from out of town and set up most of the details over the phone and drove up and purchased the car .

As for why this car is sitting out by itself. There's alot of conjecture on this site about it. Could it be possible the owner dropped it off for service or that the owner asked the Service Advisor to leave the car out so they could pick it up after hours. I do this frequently especially if it is maintenance work. It saves me from having to pick up the car during service hours.

Lighten up guys.

The only time a car is kept inside, is if its up on a rack waiting for parts. The rest of the facility is wide open . No secured area is available for our cars or theirs . Every time I go there for a service its 2 visits to complete.

I can add NOTHING as to the level of satisfaction on their service. I can say I bought my mini S there and they sold it to me for a very good price and made sure everything was perfect before I drove off the lot.
They also insisted I take it for extended test drive on extremely bumpy rods before I decided on the car. All I can say I was/am extremely pleased with my buying experience as they sold me a very nice car at a more than fair price!

PS- I drove there from Iowa city and the car was EXACTLY as described

I got my mini serviced at bill jocobs in naperville and had an amazing experience. Everyones really nice, after my last oil change the guy brought me in the back showed the underside of my r53 recommended doing some services due to the millage...they have a starbucks machine in the waiting area cant complain about that, and the best part is I bring my mini there every two to three weeks get my free coffee they check my oil and top it off free of charge and they wash my mini after...who does that lol

Also they are very reasonable I just got a quote from 3 different shops for an extensive list of stuff I need done and bill jacobs was only a little over 100 dollars more...ill probably pay the extra 100 and have them do it since its a mini shop and I know all the stuff will be done right and up to spec...

As for thief's you have them everywhere as for fences around dealerships in naperville there are very few you will find because it looks bad and naperville is one of the nicest areas in the chicagoland area. If you go to the jeep dealer down the street youll find a 140, 000 dollar Dodge Viper parked outside...not fenced in.
Just thought I would share...and if anyone on here is from the area pm me looking for some mini friends, events, clubs whatever that has to do with minis...:-)

Meh, like I said, my dealer has everything fenced in on the service side and I kind of thought that was routine for a dealer that sells BMW's, Jags, Rovers etc. They have a massive service department with indoor parking spaces and a fenced in back area. The fenced part is towards trees, so I guess they're not worried about cry baby local HOA's saying it "doesn't look good" to have a little added security. As for "you have thieves everywhere". You go ahead and believe that someone would be quickly getting in, getting a SET OF WHEELS and getting out over a fence...

On top of the fence, they have security camera's(something I bet your Viper selling dodge dealer has), so there's a way to catch people doing this stuff. Does this dealer in question have security cameras?

Purchased my MCS there and have had service done there as well. Never had any problems and the staff has always gone above and beyond for me.

As for the original post, no info other than a picture so… who knows what the deal is. Complaining about not being hired, plus posting pictures from a place that you appear to hate doesn't say much for your reason for posting the picture though. Just saying.
