KO3/KO4 turbo and CEL's

I was just wondering if anyone has had the opportunity of dealing with the hybrid turbo on these mini's ? My concern would be the lag/spool time and it causing a CEL do to the settings in the ECU. I was thinking if they caused a CEL/Code do to lag. Instead of going with the bigger turbo, would it be more advantageous to have the head ported ? Is there any parameters in the ECU that would cause a CEL like to much lag would ? Needing more fuel do to extra air flow excluded of course.

Your list of mods are how many are installed or is it a wish list. The reason I ask is that if you get a tune then add more your going to have to retune to get the full benefits. Mine area all installed by myself(I have had no professenal training) so Evolves tune is my final mod to bring it all together.

Removed to turbo do to lag and CEL's. head and cam came off cause of codes. I took ways advice and started removing the parts to find the issue. Only until I went back to factory ECU and factory turbo and head did the car act right again. Now I see group buys posted I will give evolve a call and see what's up. It's easy to put it all back on tho. I bought all the tools to align the cams and stuff.

while some of us in 1st gen are working on putting turbo's on our cars, I believe you are referring to second gen cars by your signature and turbo of choice.

yes I am. also if your looking for a turbo, I happen to have a KO4 turbo coming from GPOP soon. Its prolly gonna be for sale and I do not plan on using it. so it'll be a fresh rebuild with zero hours on it. That means it'll be under warranty as well.
