bought a r50 mini with supercharger help

well i bought this mini in a insurance auction its a r50 5 speed with a supercharger and it had fire damage. the engine bay lit on fire from a loose fuel line. most of the engine harness melted and a couple of vac hoses. i replaced everything all the vac hoses and harness . now the only way i could get the car to start is if i put two map sensors instead of one tmap and a map. it starts just fine with two map sensors it revs normally but dies on deceleration. also when i put it in gear and drive it, it has no power and of course i get a error code for no air temp. but when i put the tmap in front on the manifold and a regular map sensor in the back it doesnt even start? i get error code p1106 when i do and i bought the tmap from the dealer. the hugest problem is i dont know if it ran well before.oh and i just realize that the ecu could be a problem because its a regular r50 ecu (matches the vin) but maybe it was reprogrammed with progman? i really need to get her up and running right i have alot of money invested this car. i didnt know this car was going to be a pain in the butt.

Are you sure that someone put a supercharger on a base model with 5-speed? Ill-advised to put it mildly . . .

yes im sure. i first found out when i ordered parts and they wouldnt fit. for example the transmission mount/support its different for 5 speed than a r53 6 speed. also when i got a r53 harness the injector clips were different. the battery was in the front. you know stuff like that

You bought somebody else's project car....
Been done before....somebody always wants to prove it can be done...
Hate to see how long a 5 speed will last...they fail fast with just the r50 HP...mini changed the trany in 2005+ coopers due to this issue...
My suggestion...
Cut your losses, and sell it before you sink $$ to get it running...then have the tranny fail...then fix that to have the weaker r50 internals fail....
The bodies of the r-50 and r53 are the same, and drivetrain is similar...but different for a reason....

Not to mention the valves on a R50 head will be fried by the supercharger heat. Hope they put a R53 head on when they added a supercharger.
