iTunes Radio may make me rethink my MOG subscription...

iOS7 & iPhone 5 - Not Working

I've been in a slow connectivity downward spiral....

Everything was working fine with my iPhone 5 running IOS6 - including receiving text messages via Office.

I got my iPhone 5 replaced a few weeks ago because the power button was failing - with the replacement I lost the text messages and none of the earlier fixes are working...

Upgraded to IOS7 and now I don't have audio unless I go exclusively through the Aux input. If I select my phone through USB, the phone reacts like it's playing and the Connected display shows the track progressing - but there's no sound... So that I have the length I'm using the Apple cable and a separate audio cable to connect to the MINI. I have yet to pull out my old solution of the MINI Y cable and an adapter to see if that works...

From MINI Victoria on my Facebook newsfeed:

Did you update your iPhone to the OS7? Having trouble pairing your device? Just remove your current device from your MINI and add a new phone to re-pair!

Weird, everything works fine in my brother's clubman but mine won't let me skip through tracks on my playlist when using my iphone 5 (iOS7) and Bluetooth.

Can't skip tracks unless I pick up my iphone and skip through, the steering wheel controls and the **** are unresponsive.

I tried deleting phone and repairing it with no luck.

If you have Connected why are you using Bluetooth?

I use my phone like a iPod. Sit in my car select blutooth phone and play music.

I don't plug in my phone unless I am using google send to car.

I'm on a slow downward spiral as well with my iPhone 4S. Everything worked fine a year ago when the car was new, but with each successive software/OS upgrade, I began to lose functions. First, the forward/back would not go to the indicated track. More recently, a viewed/selected playlist does not play when selected, but instead it plays the first track of my music library, no matter what I select on the connected screen.

I now have to resort to making every track/podcast selection directly from my iPhone screen, which is unsafe and defeats the entire purpose of connected.
