HEY I NEED SOME 15" STEEL WHEELS FOR SNOW TIRES . sorry didn't mean to shout, but can I use VW rims off a Passat from 1998< 4 cly, 4 bolt pattern, 56.1 hub ?? Does anyone out there know if it's a fit or not. The Mini dealers have not sold any 15" for a 'long time' as I was told today.

 

I use 15s from a 1st gen MINI.
You can probably find them cheap.

 

if they're 4x100, and 56.1, they should fit; just try them on... you'd also need to know the rim size to fit tyres.

I found some 15" OEM Imolas quite cheaply, and I run those, as I think they look good and sort of old school. My dealer wanted to charge me EUR167 a piece. I think I paid less than that for 4 used but immaculate ones... it pays to look around.

 

I believe the VW B3 & B4 Passast 1998 (4 cylinder ) and before have 4x100 pattern : 57.1 center bore. Best to double check on that.

If you are looking for OEM MINI steelies for Winter we have some options. Here they are for the 4x100 pattern 56.1 Center bore.


These are good for Gen 1 MINIs without the factory JCW front caliper.

For the Gen 2 JCW Brembo brakes there are the Alloy skinny wheels . No 17" steelies at this time. Have not tested on the GP 2 JCW Brakes yet.
