Anyone have a MINI sitting in Southampton for 2 weeks?

My MINI was built on August 13th and has been waiting for transport ever since. That's now 16 days. My MA said she checked with the plant and there is no one there, as the plant closes the last 2 weeks of August.

I'm wondering if anyone else in the USA has a MINI that was built around the same time, and it's still waiting for shipping, or if it was completed after the 13th and has still shipped in a timely fashion.

Build date and shipping date please.

Thanks,
Mini_42

Best thing to do is try to track it yourself (search how on this site). Also, there should be a 2013 support group. I would check in there.

Thanks for the info. I've researched and used the tracking procedures described in the forums, been on the support forum and contacted MINI USA as well as the MA. Everything is pointing me to the car still in the port - for TWO weeks. I think that's over the top, IMO.

Frustrating yes! Still not on a ship, zip. I paid the deposit June 28...it's over 2 months later and it's still sitting in England. With English seagulls crapping on it.

Yes 6th, that's the one I ordered in the sig. Thanks, I hope it looks as good in the flesh! There'll be plenty of pics when I finally get her in!

Have you looked up the ship schedule? To see when the next one's due to leave? Our 08 was like that, just missed one boat and the next one wasn't due to sail for another 3 weeks. Very frustrating.

I can't figure out the K line ships, but the WW ones had a ship leave Southampton 2 days ago, and there are another 2 ships leaving there on the 8th. I'll be really pissed off if they haven't shipped it by then. I emailed my MA earlier to *again* find out WTF is going on, and that I'm pissed it's been sitting for over 2 weeks at the port.

Massive update!

Finally they tell me yesterday, after much prompting - emails and phone calls - that it was placed on the Chesapeake Highway (KLINE) on the 30th August...and happily sailing to the good 'ole USA, and an anticipated dealer arrival date of the 21st September.

All is okay in the world again.
