ECS Tuning parts arrive in Australia
The parts I ordered from ECS tuning arrived safely, and in a timely manner. Thanks ECS Tuning (and FedEX). Took 3 days from when it was shipped, to arrive at my door.
Had a new boot handle (tailgate handle) with the primed cover, heat shield, carbon fibre wrap, and new rear hatch badge.
Was shown how on a video link from this forum how to get my painted cover off my old handle. I had it replaced it and installed on the car in 20 minutes. I ordered the carbon fibre wrap to cover the primed cover, and see if I want to install it instead of the painted one.
Getting the old MINI badge off was more difficult without scratching the paint. Dental floss kept breaking. Once it was off, it took lots of effort to remove all the baked on adhesive tape. Ended up using metholated spirits to soften it, and scraped with my fingernail.
The heat shield was quick to install, only took a few minutes to figure out where the tabs go. Why is this not a factory item??
Next mod is to purchase a carbon fibre scoop to replace my warped one.
