Best way to raise motor so I can replace motor mount?

I have the floor jack and a suitable piece of wood but was wondering about what i need to disconnect first and placement. I ask because some tutorials say you don't have to disconnect much while others mention much more. Thanks!

What year is your mini? Look at the pelican parts website they have a good write up on putting a pulley on. It is the same process to replace the upper mount. When I did mine I only loosend the trans mount mount and let the motor pivot on it just one less thing to try and line up later. I also put the jack towards the passanger side of the motor. Just make sure you dont pinch the coil pack when jacking up. take it slow and dont force anything.

The only "special" tool was a reverse torx socket #11 i think for the bottom bolt on the upper motor mount you have to get it from underneath.
