fog lamp bracket broke on my countryman

Does anyone know how to get in behind the fog lamp? Also the bracket that holds the fog lamp, I wonder if it can be ordered from the dealer. I can fix this myself if I can get behind there. The fog lamp still works.

You can get back there you need to search for and read the threads on removing the grill and then removing the bumper. You should just mount the new MINI Genuine DRL fog lamps while you have it apart.

Yeah I replaced my driver's side one after a bout of stupidity. I got the broken bracket off without removing the front apron, but there was no way to install the new one without taking it off. The dealer can get you just the bracket part (or pelican, or Sewell, or ecs, etc). I don't remember how much it was, but not too expensive.

Should be part number 63129807305.

i've read where a few people removed the headlights in order to change the foglights. maybe look into that rather than dropping the front bumper.

If the new fog lights mount in the existing bracket, you wouldn't have to remove the bumper. But it's next to impossible to get the bracket on without removing the bumper because there's a bolt 1/2" from the front crash bar. I was able to get it out with a low profile ratchet/chapman-type tool, but I could never get it started going back in because of the cramped space (could only get a couple fingers on it with one hand).

I only removed half of the fasteners and partially removed the bumper, so you don't have to take the whole thing off.
