I have a 2003 Cooper S. The passenger's side door has a big long dent in it (had nothing to do with me!) and I've been quoted very high prices to have it repaired.

To make matters worse, today the actuator in that door stopped working, so the door will not lock or unlock through the central locking system.

I was just wondering if it would be simpler just to buy a new (used) door and just fitting that instead. I have seen a few on ebay which seem to be in decent condition.

Has anybody replaced the door on a mini? Is it an easy job for somebody who isn't a mechanic?
