I have the BMP struct brace that uses the bolts form the upper struct as mounting points. Hence, no additional drilling. Not sure about H-sport though.

We have the H-sport installed on the track car and to be honest I am not sure if there were any additional holes drilled as it was installed before I joined the company. We were just out at Buttonwillow Raceway with the H-Sport ( Hotchkis ) group for their annual track day today. Nice people , great day I will check tomorrow for you . I do know it uses only 2 bolts in any event.

I haven't seen many pics of this particular Tower strut brace installed. Most are BMP or others.
You use the existing strut tower nuts to secure the various braces.
Edit- See next post- H-sport requires drilling holes.

Some feel that there is some additional stiffness to the front end and some better performance on hard cornering at speed. Others feel that it may be more cosmetic than functional for street driving or the average MINI owner.

"An all-aluminum design, the Brace utilizes a solid, CNC formed 22mm center section with billet ends pieces. The center section itself has the necessary shape in order to clear the stock and most aftermarket air boxes. It comes with a brushed silver finish while the billet ends are anodized H Sport Blue. The Brace is easy to install and can be utilized with or without H Sport Camber Plates.
Retail price: $270.11"

I had all of my suspension work done directly by H Sport. I elected not to have the strut brace installed because it would have required drilling new holes. See H Sports' detailed instructions: http://www.h-sport.com/bin/instructions/20800.pdf

ftbt,

Thanks for the link. It shows the H-sport bar has a bend to allow for an aftermarket intake box (not sure which ones would fit perfectly) and for the stock ECU cover which tends to hit most strut braces. There are pictures of it installed on a MINI. Definitely need to drill holes. Oops. Not like the other strut braces what use the existing nuts.

As seen in the picture, the Unichip module is under the driver's vent. However the connector portion of the unit is inside the air box under Alta filter instead of sitting on top of the fuse box. I like that better since it's totally out of the sight.
