picked up a cooper s today, wondering how i did on price

Got a 2008 mini cooper s with sports package, 6 speed manual trans, silver with black top, leatherette interior, from second owner for $14k today. Wondering if I got a good deal - seems like it from kbb, but never know exactly how accurate those things are especially for an enthusiast oriented car. Soooo how'd I do fellas?

Did you check KBB and NADA? Sounds like a good deal with that low of mileage.

Sounds like a fantastic deal. I bought a very similarly trimmed out 2007 for $12,500 from a dealership locally here. That was with 74K miles on it. I say you did good.

Awesome! I did take a look at KBB and the price I got it for was in the "fair" condition range and it's definitely in more like good or excellent condition. Car still smells new inside. Took it for a longish ride tonight and am loving it

paid 16.5 for 2007 with 62k miles on it, from dealer with extended warranty. You definitely got a good deal. Mine came pretty much fully loaded (convience package, moon roof, leather, etc.).
I would rather have your car with that low of mileage. Wanna trade?

Wow that's a very good deal for so little miles. I just hope this doesn't mean something was really wrong with it and the previous owner had to get rid of it fast!!!

That sounds like a great deal! I just bought an 09 Cooper S with 40k miles on it 2 weeks ago. It has the leather/leatherette interior, carbon fiber trim, sport package, and is in excellent condition. I can only pick very few flaws out on the car and I got it for 14k. It sounds like you did really well!

Sounds like a pretty good. Mine is a 2008 S with premium, cold weather, lounge leather and has just under 19,000 miles. I was thinking about a JCW and dealer quoted me $14.5k for mine. I would guess private I could get maybe 18 or 19 for it. Its in immaculate condition. So yours sounds about right. Congrats!

Yeah if I'd venture a guess, I think the car is worth more like $16-17k. Awesome - thanks all

I agree that you got a good deal. Make sure that there are some things that have been taken care of with the car, like the timing chain and carbon cleaning. Welcome, and do some reading here. Put some miles on that beauty and go have fun.

i got my 2010 mini s in february of 2012 with 35k miles for $18.5k from a dealer, it was a good deal, not amazing but not over priced. added on the 100k maintanence and final price was a little under 20k

The question is... Are you happy? Tis the only question that counts.

Ha I'm very happy. It's partner in the garage is an M5 with a 507hp V10, and honestly it matches it in fun factor - in its own way. Glad to know I got a good deal on it though.
