I've seen these mats for $200 for a set of FIVE. How many mats are included in your set?

Maybe a dumb question, but wouldn't they be 'slippery when wet'? Never seen this inside a vehicle before. Especially floor matting. I think the best accent to the style of the MINI has been the circular pattern rubber floor mats that I got from the dealer. But then that's just my $0.02.
Cheers,

I'm thinking the same thing......the aluminum would be slippery. Also thinking that the metal would reflect the sun making the MINI very hot in summertime (no barefoot driving). And I'm also worried that the metal will eventually cut into the carpet. The metal looks great, but I'm still hunting for the perfect MINI floor mats. How much $$ for the round rubber dealer mats?

I paid $97 (CDN) for the 4 rubber circular pattern mats @ MINI-Yaletown up here in the great white north in Vancouver, BC. That $78 (US)seems rather high. It would be like $130-$140 CDN. But they still look awesome.
Cheers,

Thanks for the info about the rubber mats. I'm going to the dealer tomorrow. Maybe I'll buy the mats and put the driver's side mat under my computer desk and pretend to motor as I wait for my late Dec. delivery. Vrrrrmmm.

Would look a lot more authentic if they were made from the proper European 4-bar diamond plate rather than the cheaper American diamond plate. Sort of a checkerboard pattern of 4 bars/square. This is the style of Diamond Plate used most frequently on British cars like Land Rovers. The other stuff is great for making tool boxes for Chevy pick-ups and Jeep corner protectors, but is really not a very "Euro" look at all.

All that being said, most people, and certainly most Americans, would never even know that there were other options when it comes to choosing your diamond plate sheet metals. So that leaves me just being a nit-picky kind of guy when it comes to my Diamond Plate accessories.

Hard to find a really clear pic, but here are 2 of them that will almost give you the right idea.
