Wifey's New JCW Countryman:(Pics) Need Opinions From Mini Owners

She loves it! Has just about every option available that I am aware of. Manual transmission at her request. Question? We are in our mid 50's and she is not thrilled with the dealer installed graphics. She likes the stripes, but not the body side red checker. On the other hand, we know a few people our age in car clubs, and they say they normally don't like it, but it fits this car perfectly and they say keep it.

Not that it will change her mind Just curious what everyone thinks.

I actually am not a fan of any of the graphics. The stripes are spaced too wide apart. And the side graphics are not tasteful, down to the red color in the aero side sill.

I'd take it all off and start fresh. But that's my opinion.

Not a fan of the side graphics. I also agree with pidge1114 that the stripes are to far apart

Plus the stripes appear to be crooked. You can really tell on the front view.

I actually kind of like the side graphics but I would do away with the red stripe inside the side skirt.

The stripes on the bonnet and boot... seriously dislike them.

When we were going to order a car, she wasn't getting any graphics, although I do like the factory stripes personally. We found this 2013 with 2k miles on the lot at a significant discount. No brainer.

I think the stripes are spaced out like old school cars. not like the Mustang and Viper today that are 1 - 2 inches apart. Actuall the factory Mini stripes are pretty wide apart.

Oh well, it's just decals that can be easily removed. I think she will leave them for a while since everyone keeps telling her to do so, then off with them.

I really don't like those stripes, but the side graphics are kind of cool. I'd find some different stripes if you plan to keep the side graphics.

My honest opinion is that the stripes r too wide and the red on the sides is worse.

Sori, but I hope it was helpful.

I don't want to seem like I'm bashing but here's my opinion. Center stripes are spaced too wide apart. Red vinyl doesn't match the JCW red accents in the scuttles. I would completely remove it or have the dealer remove it and do my own custom stripes. Other than that, great car.

I'm ok with the side checkers as long as there are other red trim pieces added such as the mirror caps and brake ducts.

However, the front stripes are clearly crooked. I thought it was lens distortion or shadow/lighting issues, but the distance between the stripes seem to shrink smaller the lower it goes down the bumper. Also one of them is off-center when compared to the edges of the grille. At least I would remove that and see how it looks without the stripes.

I don't get that the stripes are too far apart. This is what I was shown when I was thinking of ordering, and all I have seen on the street. and way wider than the ones on our car. Never seen the other ones posted, although I like them.

I think there is WAY too much going on with both the side skirt and bonnet/boot graphics...Too small of a car to have all that vinyl on it.

Now to me, I think a white car does seem some color and flash, so I like the door graphics a lot....reminds me of the Countryman WRC rally car graphics...

so, I would definitely dump the stripes, keep the rest.

BTW, we spec'd the 19" crusher wheels on ours as well.....love those wheels....!

Lose those wide stripes. In fact, the busy graphics and the wide stripes take away from the genuine sports car look. The wheels. . . Very cool!

I do like those stripes a lot better. Are they available from Mini parts dept or on line?
