Hi everyone first off would like to say hello and glad to be here

So it finally happened ... after buying my countryman a year ago i loved it but was bought off the lot and i also wanted a manual and ALL4 so was limited to choosing 1 of 3 minis ... had to grab a base model with close to no options basically i settled and have been regretting it ever since.

Well ... i told myself that if i ever got another mini or new car at all it would have absolutely everything i wanted it to have. When i bought my countryman i never even test drove a hardtop all i had to compare the countryman to was my last car (00 civic Si) so to me the countryman was a major step up ... well last week i had to put my countryman in the dealership for some warranty work ... they gave me a red hardtop ... big mistake ... i almost immediately fell in love with the R56. Felt more peppy and responsive than my countryman so i started working the numbers to get myself into one.

Then i get the bad news from the dealership ... of course im sure you all have seen the many threads stating your not able to order anymore 2013 hardtops ... so we started doing some searching for a R56 here already in the states that was close to what i wanted (on track to settling AGAIN!). I basically wanted a S with just about every option available so we weren't having any luck finding me one. So after a couple hours of looking at mini after mini with my dealer he finally stopped and went do some more checking ... turns out they were able to order ONE more hardtop and it was all mine This was just yesterday so ive got the long w8 ahead still but just wanted to say Hi and ill be joining the R56 side soon

heres a pic of my countryman ... will prob trade her in or I might sell ... have till the hardtop gets here to figure out what to do

haha yea im already driving my GF crazy with the wait ... and it hasn't even been 24 hours since i ordered it lol

 

Yeah I bet I had a wait 2 and half weeks too go get my Bella.. it drove me crazy waiting for the day I could go get my car..
yeah I can't wait too see what you ordered it'll be worth the wait I'm sure of that

 

You only had to wait 2 and half weeks for a build? or was pulled from another dealer? my dealer told me i would prob have to wait till mid late september

 

Congratulations on the new MINI! Waiting for it only makes it that much better when it finally arrives configured just the way you want it.

Thanks all... My MA emailed me earlier to say that production started on my mini today with a birth DATE of September 4th!

 

no I had to wait to pick my car up.. so I bought it and then had to wait 2 weeks tell I got it.

I'd love too be able to order one brand new thou most be extra special feeling

 

My order took 5 weeks from order to delivery.....

 

Nice! I had to call around to find a build slot for my new one.
