Black Beans & Chilli: The journey so far.

I bought my first MINI about 4 months ago and have slowly been putting it together. This forum was a huge help in that effort.

Here it is day 1..

After the I killed some of the chrome...

And where it sits today...

sorry for all the picture whoring.

Mechanically I haven't done much yet. Just swapped out the stock intake and put in the DDM race intake. Next steps seem to be to have the ECU tuned, Helix intercooler, Oil Catch Can and a NM 22mm adjustable sway bar. But I am open to suggestions if people have them for things I should do before any of those. And also I have handles covers on order to paint black and put on.

Interested to see what you all think and thanks for all the help.

Love the transformation ! You're taking advantage of one of the best things about owning a MINI... modifying it and making it a one-of-a-kind.

And hey, about 6 thousand more checkers and it will look like my first MINI.

And lastly, no such thing as too many pics.... keep them coming !

Looking very nice! Painting stock parts or replacing with black versions? I picked up some black vinyl to try my hand at blacking out some items.

I bought the blackout kit for the headlights, tailights and grill surround and then the vinyl tap from outmotoring.

Painted the gas cap and getting the plastic handle covers that I will sand and paint.

Very nice! It definitely looks more aggressive, I like it!

Keep posting pics, alway nice to see progress. I wish I had taken more, but I had a flurry of new parts recently and didn't keep up.

Cheers!
