Bumper protection strip: by R56 Schartz, anyone have this ???

Members,

http://parts.miniofsouthatlanta.com/...140418311.html

Bumper protection strip:

Black, I haven't seen one of these on any MINI out there (at all).

I've got a couple of scratches on the bumper already, not bad for being a couple of years old.

Did you find this worth while getting?

If you do have it or did have it what do you have to {Report} ???

Pictures of your's would be great if you can Post them.

Getting ready to order it so would really like to have some feedback first.

I have this on my MCS. I play hockey and and put my hockey bag in and out of my car 2 nights a week. I thought it would be good protection. I am pleased with it and would recommend it. I installed it myself - easy. There may be a picture in my gallery.

Works great for covering up scratches. If you are putting it on a new car its protect from hauling things in and out. Just make sure you line it up correctly , painters tape helps.

R56 MINI Cooper Version.

I bought this one, UK-made, from Bavarian Auto. It covers a bit more, is formed ABS, and attaches with both double-sided tape and those two screws at the corners:

Questions ???
I take it that it probably has (Caps/Covers) to hide the two screws on each end on top ???

I guess the two screws are on each end at the far Left & Right sides ???

That looks like maybe what I should get.

Does it match the rest of the Factory Black Plastic Wrinkle Finish ???

I know a lot of questions but if one does not know the best course of action to to ask (Before) you purchase something.

Do you have a Nice Clear Picture you would post for me and others to check out on your MINI ???

Even a Cell Picture would be okay with me.

Man I;m not trying to beat this to death honestly but so many questions come to mind.

Does it look like it came from the Factory with it's Black Color, finish & fitment ???

Maybe one day I can help you out with something.

I noticed recently that Outmotoring started carrying this one too. http://www.outmotoring.com/heavy-duty-rear-bumper-guard.html

(at least I think it's the same. It says made in the UK, and mentions that it's stuck on and bolted on. The pictures don't show the bolts though.)

Let's see...

The screws in question are already on your MINI, and aren't covered now...and aren't when you finish. They're not noticable.

It isn't black wrinkle finish, but a non-shiny, smooth surface. It does look like it belongs, however, and is well made.

Photo? I did post one...I think. Check my gallery if not, there's a bunch of photos of my MINI there.

No worries, glad to help. I've gotten a ton of help here, both before I ordered my MINI and afterwards.

Thanks everyone for your help.

It is a done deal just placed the order.

Thanks again for you time and assistance.

I think this is the one to get compared to the others.

I like the way it attaches using those two existing screws and two way tape.

Plus it covers the whole area for protection.

How did it turn out in the end? I'm looking for a rear bumper guard for my r50 that has turned into my dog-toting-mobile. With their nails I'll need something pretty heavy duty.
