springs, shock, brakes and more.

so my current suspension mod's are koni sport springs, koni FSD shocks hotchkis 19mm rear sway bar (full stiff) and a m7 STB.

I'd like more out of my suspension I know what id like but not sure on the most beneficial order given my slow cash flow. So out of swift springs, Koni sport shocks, a 22mm RSB, PSRS, roll center adjusters and camber plates what should I do first?

Second question is id like to be a little lower then the swifts but thats not a huge priority. Would threading the shock bodies for coil sleeves or cutting like half a coil be a decent choice.

Third and final question is on r56/r53 JCW brakes can this be done with all new parts? would just R56 calipers pads and rotors do it or do i need anything else? I can't have my car down for long so having a compete parts list is important.

Thank you in advance for your replies and in turn in the next few weeks ill give a detailed write up on the new BFG sport comp 2's that just arrived on my doorstep.

I can help your cash flow by directing you to more affordable and better parts.
First skip the PSRS. They are loud and fail all the time. Just go with the Powerflex control arm bushings. They will last forever.
Then again you can skip the roll spacer adjusters, they are very little difference for the money.
Rear sway bar should be your first suspension mod. Get the Hsport Comp sway bar, it is perfect for an R53.
Then the camber plates, they are going to cost you but well worth it. Go with the Vorshlags.
Another option that is cost effective may be some Megan Coilovers as they would include your camber plates saving you cash.

As for the brake kit you can use all new R56 parts, but that will be real expensive. Search around for a used set of calipers and just add new pads and rotors to them.

Would the megan coilovers be better then swifts and koni sports? and would the sway bar be first given I have a 19mm RSB?

How "bad" would cutting swifts be? I really like them I would just like the car about 15mm-20mm lower then what swifts would give me.

I can get rebuilt r56 calipers really cheap I work at NAPA so that's not a problem but do I need anything else or are calipers/rotors just bolt on and go?

Any warnings against cutting a set of swift springs to go 2cm lower?

Don't cut the Swifts. You don't really want to be much lower than that since you'll have no compression travel left.

Swifts and Koni Yellows with trimmed bumpstops would be my choice over Megans. Much better damping from the Konis and you don't need to be so firm.

Get the powerflex front control arm bushing from Way (prepressed for convenience).

I'd keep the 19mm rear bar, or at least try it before adding a 22mm.

Get some camber plates. I run IE fixed camber plates and love them, but you may want something adjustable. You should also have some adjustable rear lower control arms and a good performance alignment.

For the R56 brakes, you need calipers, pads, rotors, and R56 front brake lines. I used Centric (stoptech) blank rotors, Stoptech street sport pads, and Stoptech SS brake lines. You might want a more aggressive pad for the track, but these are good for the street.

I agree, don't cut the swifts! Can't comment on them vs the Megan's, but many of my friends have gone with the swift/bilstein sport combo and say its the holy grail short of very high end coilovers.

What about having the shock bodies of the Koni sports threaded? Or is there any other way to go lower using swifts and Koni sports without hurting performance? I don't want to be slammed I just want to stay at least as low as I am now with my Koni sport springs.

The car will handle and ride better if you stay at the Swift ride height. I think it looks plenty good.

If you really want to stay low, you should get coilovers.
