i have some extra 215 runflats, and was curious if they could be fitted onto some 8.25 width rims. i know that regular 215 would fit, and that 215 rf's wold fit on 8", but can it still be done with the stiffer sidewall of the rf's on 8.25?

 

Diameter, offset and aspect ratio would be helpful.

Don't know if you are talking about a 215/40/16 or a 215/35/18

There are no runflats that come in 215/45-17

Check your tire, it may be 205/45-17 runflat which fits rims from 6.5-7.5" wide.

Could it be stretched to fit an 8 or 8.25" rim? Sure but the tire was never designed to work that way so the results could be Ok or troublesome.

You can talk to a shop that does tire stretching and give them the wheels and tires you want to use.
