The 476,327th "What do I get for replacement tires?" question

First tires needed for 2012 MINI Coupe. Front tires only are at 3/32", so it's tire shopping time. Stock 15" wheels.

I have 33K miles in just over a year, largely freeway miles. Between 40 miles each way to work and several drives to Vegas and back, I've put quite a few miles on.

I live in San Francisco and I don't have to worry about winter weather. My primary goals for new tires:

  1. Low rolling resistance
  2. Long lasting
  3. Cost

Sorry all you performance hounds. My MINI performs quite well enough, and I want tires that are going to last a long time and aren't going to cost me an arm and a leg. I'm looking for the best 2-3 suggestions that will meet my goal.

Depends on the convience factor and hand holding you need/want....the where to buy part...a big factor in $$$.
Getting them online...then shipping to a local installer is a $$ saver...but you must do some legwork....and shipping costs vary based upon location...so lowest price for one is not the same as warehouse locations varry...tirerack is popular... But last time I had great luck with tirebuyer.com....YMMV.
Brand and model, along with size is another huge question....will be different for everybody....
First question I have is...what tire do you have now...OEM fittment does vary!
