Cutting bumpstops on R56 Cooper s with H&R Springs?

I got a set of H&R springs coming for my '08 Cooper S. I'll be using the stock struts for now and I was wondering if you need to cut the bump stops down. I know the NM Alpha springs recommend this and have instructions on how to do this. Any info or feedback on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

JR

You will want to cut them down, H&R's are lower than NM's. I put aftermarket stops on (from WMW), but I remember reading that you can cut the stock ones by about half.

Keep an eye on the stock shocks, some have had problems from bottoming too much, and you are gonna be pretty low.

Have fun,
Mike
