Thanks to everyone that conspired to pull this off. My Co-Driver and I had a blast. We can't even begin to imagine how much better it could be without the off/on weather. THe people, the cars, it was great. Flew back up the highway sunday morn and avoided any serious rain.

Two downsides:

1. Motion sickness when camera operator.
2. Driving my mini around western mass has become mundane.
3. Allready counting down and planning my next trip.
4. Inability to count due to excitement

You got luckier than we did... our MINI caravan back to Florida drove in the soup for almost the entire 10½ hours...

I like when you get back and see a roadside sign warning of curves up ahead, yea right. Like anything my state has compares to those roads.

I bought one of the Dragon Slayer window treatments.... was proud to wear it on the trip, but now back at home it just feels silly.... gonna leave it on a while though, brings back good memories.

The only downside to the weekend was leaving this morning with my MINI on a flatbed tow-truck. Seems that my MINI has suffered unusual premature brake pad failure. I can't imagine how that could have happened?

No kidding... Jodi and I were laughing about that last night, as we watched people slow to a crawl in order to navigate a "curve"

At least the brakes matched your tires!
Only one single rear brake pad matched my balding tires, the rest of the pads were fine.

I would have thought the cool midnite air would have tempered the wear.

The 'loose lug nut party' was more like a moveable feast!

I certainly didn't laugh when you brought out the floor jack! Although diagnosing what I already knew was wrong was easy enough, it was great to have others around to pose for silly pics.

I certainly hope that this is not a problem with my caliper, as MINI only replaced the pads and rotors . . . .

I will keep an eye on it and if that same pad wears quicker before 36k miles, I will have MINi address the issue again. . . .
