I'm about to order replacement sun visors for my Gen 1 R50. The pictures of the replacement show an electrical connection coming out of the bracket.

How is this connection hidden away if the bracket is screwed flush to the roof of the car. It doesn't look like there is any room between the car roof and the bracket. (I don't want to remove the old ones to have a look before I have to.)

There are 2 holes for the 2 Philips screw and a 3rd larger hole for the electrical connection. The "how" will be obvious once you remove the screws.

And I imagine that removing the little round plastic pieces that cover the 2 screws is just a matter of prying them off with a knife?

 

Yep. Pretty easy.
