What to clean radiator and a/c coils with?

I have the radiator and a/c coils loose (well partially) and would like to clean them before putting them back. Whats the best and safest stuff to use that will give them that new look again?

Thanks..

Can't think of anything that will make them *look* new, but a soft long bristled brush should get out all the bugs.

Not sure how it will make them look but you can buy coil cleaner used for HVAC systems. This is only one example you can get a Walmart...http://www.walmart.com/ip/Frost-King...19-oz/20703057 ...it is for both HVAC and can be used for car radiators.

Can you advice on this one called "Nar-Coil" made by Gur Technologies? I see it says "safer and less corrosive than HF-based cleaners"

Is this one safe for aluminum despite claiming itself to be less corrosive?

Use caution buying a coil brush. I bought one from the local appliance repairman and paid him a whopping $10.00 for it. I make sure it gets used very often during bug season to help amortize the near crippling cost.

I cut to size a piece of window screen and bordered the edges with aluminum tape for the bottom portion of the assembly. For the upper/accessible part of the assembly I just clean as nessecary. The brush that Fly'n mentioned works the best.

This will not only keep the bugs out, but also provide SOME protection from road debris...sand and tiny stones.....can destroy a radiator/condensor....many commercial vrchiles have been sold for years with a screen...they typically last 1,500,000 MILES ON THE ROAD OR MORE....so simple things that add life to parts are used to lower costs.
