Paceman Toggle Switches?

I was at a dealer on Saturday and none of the Paceman on the lot had a complete set of toggles. there was always one slot empty. Is it possible to get a complete set when ordering? If so what options need to be ordered to get a complete set? Thanks

it's the same for the Countryman

In the US / Canada, we don't have the rear fog options, like the R5x models.

So my guess is that is what the missing toggle is for

I was just wondering that the other day too, thanks! I read a post about a heated windscreen, but now that I look again, that option is in one of the round buttons, not a toggle. So on my car the far left round button is a fake and the second from the left toggle is gone.

Photo of European toggles. The second toggle from left is auto start-stop, not available in North America. The blank round button is for windshield heater, available in Canada but not the U.S.

Can anyone obtain the parts? I hate incomplete toggle panels, and an extra could be used to switch something else.

From what I see on RealOEM, you coul buy the one toggle missing for 8$. Now, can this be installed in the cluster as-is? Can't say

I would to see how this turns out. My Paceman has a blank as well and I could think of a few things I might add in that position.

You can install the missing toggle but it is not a switch in the sense that the toggle does anything. The toggle actually presses of the 2 small buttons on a printed circuit board behind the toggle. You cant use the "extra" toggle to add anything after-the-fact. For the $7-$10 most vendors sell it for, it fills the area out nicely.

Is it pretty easy to install? Is there a guide?

My guess is that you would at minimum have to drill out the plastic. Hopefully there are still mounting studs for it behind.
And if that works, it will only press the existing PCB. But combined with fes's auto-sport circuit, if all of these things are true, then each could be used to toggle an accessory and still look stock. (That's a lot of ifs)

Fairly easy. I have seen it done two ways. The quick and dirty way involves just popping the cover off that goes around the switches. It looked like it would break but it was a tech doing it and he had no issue. The how-to I have seen on here involved removing much more plastic to easily pry the plastic off and see more on the sides of it before yanking.

Once the cover is off, there are two little plastic flaps or prongs that go over raised parts of the cover panel and the blank pops right off with a small pry or screwdriver that techs carry in their shirt pocket.

No drilling, just tactful pulling and prying. The new toggle just pops right into the board at the fulcrum point and it will press the two micro switches on the board and do nothing.
