List do user configurable settings without Connected?

My car nears the port now and I should have it in two weeks or less. A few options yet to be installed at the VDC.

I want to go over a list of options I can set for the car (drl, 3 flash turn signals for lane change, etc). I've downloaded the manual, but everything listed is with Connected, which I did not order.

I'd like to have a list with my selection so I can be sure they are all set the way I want and the MA doesn't forget any.
  1. Does anyone know where a comprehensive list of user configurable settings is?
  2. What options, if any, are only able to be set with Connected that i cannot do with the stalk?

download a 2011 or 2012 owners manual from the miniusa owners lounge

the 2011 manual is much more friendly to the non-connected owner

Excellent idea!

Downloading both to see what they have in the configuration section.

You may also want to check the videos here: http://www.miniusa.com/AboutYourMini/

The one called personal profile functions talks about some of the things you were talking about. Pretty much it looks like you do everything through the turn signal and the tach display if you don't have connected. I have connected, so the only thing I get there is the automatic wiper delay.

Thanks. I watched a few of those videos back in May when I placed the order, but need to go back and review and take notes. I prefer written stuff to video for this type of thing.

Unrelated question - where did you get the side flag graphic for your car? I am looking at some similar to that. Just wondering where you purchased it and who installed it for you. It looks sort of like this one, but not quite the same.

My stripes were all installed at the MINI dealer shop. The ones you have linked are probably the same ones, but I showed them a different site: http://www.mini-graphics.co.uk/ and they were able to duplicate it - or at least come very close.

If you click through that site they have a ton of options/ideas. The dealer didn't have any problems accommodating my request.

Thanks. I've seen the ones at the site you linked to. The problem is the colors are very hard to choose from. Their color (sorry - colour) pallet is really tiny with no names. What the heck is "Graphite" for example that is available in some of the dropdowns? I've put in for a quote at a local shop to see what they can do for me when my car comes in.

MINI-Graphics is a terrific outfit with excellent customer service. We had them design a custom viper stripe and side stripe. About $100 or so, fast shipping from the UK, and excellent quality material. Our dealer had their invisi-shield outfit install them before we picked up the CMS. Call them and talk to Graham; he was wonderful to work with (excuse the dangled preposition). He might be able to give you a link to a color chart or send you samples.

Just to clarify - I just used the site to provide a pic to the dealer. I don't know that they actually ordered it from there. I would guess any installer would be able to provide color samples for you. They would probably be able to replicate the checker design for you as well.
