Recommended mods

I was talking with Greasy's Garage about recommended mods and here was a list Pete gave to me:

1. lower engine mount - this is a good mod. http://www.waymotorworks.com/bsh-low...mount-r56.html
2. competition sway bar -- the only one I sell. I usually have these in stock. http://www.waymotorworks.com/h-sport...-sway-bar.html
3. front strut brace - incredible for stability - http://www.waymotorworks.com/john-co...rut-brace.html
4. cold air intake - nothing more to say :-) - http://www.waymotorworks.com/nm-engi...-2011-mcs.html
5. resonator delete - http://www.waymotorworks.com/forge-r...lete-hose.html
6. heat shield - http://www.waymotorworks.com/nm-tita...011-newer.html this protects the scoop and the plastics.
7. D-1 Spec - you need this !!!!! trust me on this one.

Any other priority recommendations you guys have?

The JCW strut bar will do little to nothing. Its more for looks rather than function.

The strut brace makes a slight difference only if you are driving your Roadster at the edge of performance at all times. But that slight difference cornering at the edge comes at a price in comfort, specially if you have stiffer sport suspension and 17 inch or above tires. The chassis is already extremely rigid, (specially for a Roadster type car). And BMW has addressed the earlier concerns about strut tower mushrooming in the newer models, which is better addressed, IMO, with camber plates.

In an earlier post I had said I had the Craven shift ****. I actually meant I had the Whalen shift ****. All his are completely customizable and have a great feel in the hand. They have some weight to them [I think they are over a pound] I feel very solid. One disclaimer, especially for a Roadster, it's not will it get hot but what degree of burn will you get if you leave the top down. They do get very hot and very cool. Just put a hat on it. I had the JCW shifter and it never felt right and the stock one was awful. So I vote for Whalen and the Craven e-brake handle that matches it. Just my 2 cents.

Also I had the Helix short shifter and the Craven black shift well cover put on Nigel at the '11 MOTD shortly before he was murdered on the highway by a kamikaze Toyota Minivan. I really liked both mods. I'd have the same on my wife's Countryman but it is an AT.

The resonator delete I believe gives slightly more boost. Maybe .5. I might be wrong n this. I'm going off my middle-aged memory which can be kinda dicey sometimes.

Hiya, nice list. Is the D-1 Spec this throttle controller?

Looks like a nice addition, hadn't seen this before.
