Suspension snapped tie rod bolt
snapped tie rod bolt
so i was installing my coils and when putting on the bolt for the tie rod with my impact wrench it snapped off. the tie rod seems to be stuck to the assembly still though. how dangerous is this and can anybody show me a diy to fix it? thank you
Do not drive the car.
(Had to say that)
Hammer it out, by hitting it on the sides of the knuckle where the joint is.
Remove old rod. Count turns needed to unbolt it.
Replace tie rod. Count same number of turns.
Lock jamb nut.
Get alignment if paranoid.

Whilst not a Mini DIY, this one I made for my Jetta is the same deal.

Seriously? I just got one from advance but if you're willing to give me one free I can just return it. I live in west Davie. Thanks for the offer man!
